CZDM Quote:" One way to do it is to leave your gear at the bar at The Coral Princess (tip the bartender a couple of bucks and he/she will be happy to watch it) and then take a taxi back to Puerto Abrigo and snorkel back to the hotel. You could use any of the hotels in that area. Once you get out your gear will be there and refreshments are served at the beach bar."

Last time we tried to snorkel from Coral Princess in July, we were stopped by a big guy at the front desk and told we could not use the put-ins unless we were guests. We couldn't even get TO the bar. Not sure if the bartender would watch our towels and stuff if we snorkeled TO Coral Princess from somewhere else. Paula tried to intercede on our behalf, but no luck. We would have happily bought food and drinks as we have many, many times in the past at CP. Anyone else have a way around this ridiculous restriction? We were able to get in at Hotel Fontan, and gladly gave them our business.

The area that trottermex described is NOT a good area for snorkeling.

Sorry about the misinformation per Coral Princess. Policies change. There are many other hotels on that strip that would be happy to have your business.
