went last night to get some last minute things and strolled by the box cake mix section. they have stocked up and have lots of bisquick buttermilk biscuit mix.
they also have, gasp for those who like to make cupcakes and decorate cakes, small packages of cupcake cups, many shapes and colors of sprinkles, brownie icing, and icing in a can with the interchangeable nozzles. they still also have whole wheat blueberry muffin mix with millseed too.
when at this section, do a 180 degree turn and check out the variety of, ahem, HAMBURGER HELPER! yes, the real stuff. plus au gratin potato mix.
glory be! it's like heaven for those of us who like cooking made easier. just add your own personal touches!

Ah, the thrill of the hunt!

Thanks Nauticab, made my killing this morning.

Missed Linda's post about the garlic potatoes...another day.

Aisle numberr 5 for Bisquick packet, across the aisle (upper shelve) Scalloped and Au Gratin potatoes, and the Hamburger Helper stuff.

Only Pac's HAD molasses, and they have not had it in sometime. However, they do have large cans of Bushes Baked Beans.

Guess I missed the Bisquick. Didn't find any, lots of Aunt Jemima mix w/o sugar.

Did find Best Foods mayo in the huge squeeze bottle. Best Foods brand is Hellman's west of the Rockies. It was a bit pricey at $70+ pesos, but a huge bottle.

Also found my favorite Valle juices, Pomegrante and also Cranberry. I like that they are in plastic bottles vs. aspectic boxes. Plastic gets recycled. I first discovered them at Mega, but as with many things availability it spotty, same with Chedraui. I think that Mega has switched to TreeTop apple juice and Good 4 You cranberry, in the spots where the Valle used to be.

diva, you just didn't look hard enough. the bisquick packets are right under the icings with the cake mixes. not near the pancake mixes. was just there today and there were several packets left.
bought the hot fudge cake mix and made it and OH MY GAWD it's good. sickenly good.
also, not that i have a dryer but have heard people trying to find dryer sheets, they have them there too. as well as scrubbing bubbles baythroom cleaner. never saw that anywhere here.

one of these days i am going to try their fried chicken like linda said.

Aisle 5 is where you want to be.

Scrubbing Bubbles...oh man Stop my beating heart!

I made the Bisquick last night...yummmy

This morning, warped them a moist paper towel to warm, and a little butter and jam...HEAVEN!

I do the same with hotdog/hamburger rolls as well. Wrap them in a moist paper towel 30 sec's in the microwave and they are steaming, soft and wonderful.

So, Paula, is aisle 5 the one with the flour, cake, pancake & muffin mixes? If so, I didn't see anymore Bisquick on those shelves.

all the way to the left, near the end cap, where the cake mizes and icings are. they are instant biscuit mixes, in pouches, not the big box. smack dab in the middle. above them are the icings in the spray type bottle, below them and to each side are the cake mixes. they are there. at least 5 packets left as of this morning.

I'm not a baker, but happened to notice Coconut Pecan icing. Sounds interesting.
