They're going to try out closing the east side of the waterfront main drag (side furthest from the ocean) on Sunday nights starting this Sunday, Feb 28. 8 PM until 1 AM so families, friends, visitors can better enjoy the life of the town. Too bad they couldn't completely close the waterfront but it should still make a nice improvement for Sunday nights, a good time to check out the downtown plaza where there is usually some live music and people will get up and dance.

Did the article indicate which blocks will be closed? I think I like this idea, but agree that it would have been nice to close both sides.

People need to get to and from the ferry so they can't close both sides. Now will there be any place to park, free or paid?

Only the northbound lanes will be closed. The article I read didn't specify from what streets. I imagine it will likely be from Salas to 2nd. We will soon find out, tomorrow.

I'm guessing just after Calle 11 on the south and to Airport Blvd on the north?? Maybe we should lay bets.
