since the USA is changing their clocks tonight, my flight next week is now an hour earlier than normal, putting me at a 1:35 departure time, messing everything up for me. i want to take the 10am ferry but the next ADO bus is at 11:20, pushing it for being at the counter an hour before the flight.
there are 2 of us flying so we don't want to spend the $800 (local price) for mayair. i may have to take the 9am ferry but really want to leave at 10.... all depends on the answer to my questions:
anyone RECENTLY take a cab from playa to the airport and how much was it?
did you get the taxi from the ferry terminal, or closer to ADO?
how long was the trip?

why would dst in the US affect your flight time from mexico?

Mexico does not change clocks until April 3rd....only in USA and Canada today...
It can be a bit confusing for a few weeks...check the flights again for departure
from Mexico to USA...

They ask for $60-80, but there is not much work in PDC. We negotiated a taxi from PDC to the airport for $30USD. It took a while to do the deal, but I am sure you know how it works.

that is what i am hoping for. the $30 to $40 range. in the jan 2011 section of the riviera maya taxi prices list, playa del carmen to cancun airport says 350 pesos. thought that to be either old or a misprint. i think we will walk up away from the pier, and try closer to ADO, which tends to be a little less. thanks.
my flight i often go on normally takes of at 2:35pm to arrive at 5:30 in florida. due to the time change in the states, it is for 1:35 so we have the same arrival time.

I took a taxi from 26 N and 10th for 40 last weekend. I was staying at the Luna Blue and met an ex-pat at the bar that told me not to pay more than $40. His advice was if the driver wanted more than $40 to tell him to move on and keep trying until you get it. Luckily for me I got it on the 1st car. The driver initially asked for 50 then said 45 but accepted 40 . Driver was quick. Only took about 35-40 mins to get to the airport.
