I agree. And, actually it's not the greatest beach in the world. the water is beautiful, the people are friendly. But there's virtually no shade or any places to sit unless you bring your own from your rental house. There's a little bit of sand but it's most rocky iron shore. You might take the kids down there before 10 AM and after 4 PM for an hour. Any more than that and they'll get fried in the tropic heat. And, as I said there is very little shade or any place to sit. So basically you just swim in the sun and then head for home.

I would advise taxi-ing down to Buccanos beach club many of your days. Short hop from the north end of town. You will be expected to spend some money on beverages or snacks but its a really lovely club with a nice pool, ocean entrance and, one of the things you need most -- relaxing places to sit in the shade and watch the beach world and your kids go by. Worth every peso of having to purchase some cokes and snacks in my not in the least bit humble opinion.

Thats a helpful tip. I am definitely adding a pool to the list of must haves.
