NOB I use Miracle Gro potting soil for my tomatoes. No need to feed for awhile. Don't know if it's available for you. Also use MG powder to mix with water in a hose end sprayer or watering can. Again, don't know if you can get it. I end up with more tomatoes than I can handle. Is there something similar at the grocers or nurseries? Tomatoes are not real fussy about fertilizer, think any balanced stuff would work, even fish or bone meal.

They do need calcium, may try some crushed eggshells mixed into the soil.

Guitarist, two places that I know you can check for plant food like MG.

1. On 50th, just past Pac's (Pac's will be on 2nd to your right)there is a feed store (plus live chicks (as in chickens) on right, almost to the end of that block...look for a sign that says ABBORTES. My husband goes there to purchase ant killer

2. The second place that we have been able to get in the past has been the garden center on the Transversal. It is the large one on your left, with the water falls, and pool.

I have about 12 tomato plants growing now, and what works best for us is watering 3 times a day. We set up a mister system which saves lots of time.

The most important thing in life is not knowing everything, it's having the phone number of somebody who does!
