Some of us only know how to speak Gringo and are Spanish-challenged. Do I need to hand a sign around my neck? I even think restaurants should have special seating for people like me who try to speak Spanish and it comes out all Gringo. Special waiters and all, not just the regular bi-lingual ones, but ones that speak that language in the middle. :P

I am really trying hard on the Coz-Nose thing, since apparently everyone thinks I am an idiot when I do it wrong.... :(

Or just go with La Isla and avoid the chance of sounding like an idiot. What is that old saw, don't open your mouth and remove all doubt?:P

Don't feel too bad if you say it wrong. The guy on the weather channel hasn't gotten it right yet.

While campaigning in Miami’s little Havana, Herman Cain asked the crowd, “how do you say delicious in Cuban?”

Mark, why are YOU asking ME?

But since you did, I would have to say, "Cuban versions of pizza contains bread, which is usually soft, and cheese, toppings, and sauce, which is made with spices such as Adobo and Goya onion. Picadillo, ground beef that has been sauteed with tomato, green peppers, green olives, and garlic is another popular Cuban dish. It can be served with black beans and rice, and a side of deep-fried, ripened plantains."

Pizza like that with a side of plantains? Yum! I do like a nice plantain... Tell me you wouldn't be asking how to say delicious in Cuban after that? :P Course I would mispronounce it in Cuban too, I imagine.... :(

Maybe a cigar after to aid digestion?

Charles sooo sorry to have to correct you. The Chinese do not currently have nuclear weapons. En eso te equivocas.

"They've indicated that they're trying to develop nuclear capability" Herman Cain

Thats why you should all be very, very, very afraid!!!

Guess that whole 1964 thing was just a big missunderstanding on your part. Who knew?

And I thought the Cuban race was a homemade boat trying to beat the coast guard to the shores of Miami.

LMAO - funny stuff!

Charles - Cuban and Pizza are two words I never heard in the samer sentence! Unless my parents were calling pizza hut (which is not good IMO)... :)

Morenita - guagua? isnt that already en espanol?

Best cuban dish for me: bistek empanizado con arroz blanco, unos platanos maduros y una malta hatuey! :)

MMMMMM malta. Con o sin leche evaporada? The first time I tried it was in Colombia. Like a good stout but without the alcohol.

Bueno guagua (wah-wah) en Mexico se llama autobus o a veces bebe. Jajajaja
