Went camping yesterday on the east side of the island on the north end. Up the dirt road a couple of kilometers. Had a good time. Even got to watch the sunrise this morning.

Thanks for the pictures, Steve. Had made that bumpy trip once a couple of years ago with my brother-in-law who owns land along that stretch.

Don't know about permission, but if everybody remembers that it is privately owned land and leaves it in the same condition (or better!) than they found it, I don't think the owners would mind.

i'm a firm believer in the "take only memories, (or pictures!) leave only footprints" principal. it's what i practice wherever i hike and camp. i wouldn't want to spoil this spot! it is amazingly beautiful. thanks so much for the response!

Hey Steve. We're staying at Ventanas al Mar in another week. What time is sunrise? You there through the 27th?
