I am attempting to recreate a lunch we had at Sabores. It was bone in chicken pieces in a cilantro white sauce. Not a thick sauce, but defintely white with cilantro in it. It was delicious and I am cravving it. My plan it to cook the chicken it a medium white sauce with cilantro, garlic, onion etc. Can anyone tell me if I am on the right track?
or does anyone have a recipe for this type of dish? Appreciate any suggestions.

A local friend made fish tacos for me with a cilantro white sauce - contained plain yoghurt, mayonnaise, cumin, cilantro and lots of fresh lime juice. It was really good and should work with chicken as well.

Thanks for the suggestion Valli. I did attempt the recipe last night. I made a bechamel sauce, and when it was thickened I added salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic, cumin and cinnamon..all to taste, and then a large bunch of cilantro. I poured this over browned chicken in a crock pot. The sauce was delicious and flavor good, but I wouldnt put in a crock pot again. The sauce separated and got too thin. I think next time I will not use the crock pot, and cook the chicken with a rub of olive oil and cilantro, and then about the last half hour, pour the sauce over and finish cooking. I have to say it was pretty close, maybe a little more cilantro, cuz i like it so much. Anyone else with suggestions would be welcome.
