We have to wait a couple of days yet for our 331 days to last date of travel. I've been watching Delta through Atlanta and round trip tickets are running over $1,000. We will watch and hope for a drop under $800.

Not familiar with days to last travel.
What is the 331 days to last travel, and does it apply to all airlines?

thanks

Last night my wife and I were perusing "flights" from dallas/fw to coz - found CheapOair with Spirit Airlines fares for $415.00 per person - economy class...is that a good price or no?

The answer depends upon when you're flying since fares vary hugely by season, proximity to holidays, what days of the week you want to travel, how long you're staying, etc. It's probably not bad.

For a flight from DFW to Cozumel staying 7 nights, the lowest I find is $522, which is a mid-week non-stop on American.

As far as I know, you're actually looking at flights from DFW to CUN (the airport in Cancun) rather than to CZM (the airport in Cozumel) since I don't think Spirit Air actually flies to Cozumel. Flying into Cancun isn't too bad, but you then need to get from there to Playa del Carmen and catch a ferry to the island. Going the other way is less pleasant since CUN departures gets crowded and you have to leave the island fairly early to account for that. Budget an extra USD$45 per person for the bus and ferry.

The least expensive flight I can find between DFW and Cancun for a 7-night stay is $322 on Spirit for a mid-week non-stop.

Many time, I have found that staying a couple of days longer around our Sat. to Sat. time share is about the same as paying the higher Sat. to Sat airfares.  If I've got to spend $300 more, I would rather spend it in Cozumel than in the air!

I just looked at rates for our trip next June...bad idea, about gave me heart failure..over $900 a ticket from Houston to Coz.  I need to keep up my schedule of looking in October, not a month after being home lol

Wow, look at Orbitz you can get a low end hotel for 7 nights w/RT air for less than $900 each.

Use the air and skip the hotel, stay where ya want.

Check for a promo code and save even more.
