Stopped by the new store Europea on the corner of 11 y Melgar, next door to Mega.  It is a store that sells wines, sprites and has a deli counter.

They are still stocking the store, but a large selection of wines from all over the world.

I only checked on one price point between Mega and Europea on a bottle of tequila, and the new place was less expensive.

They said they would be getting in fresh cold cuts (sliced to order) this week. Hopes it's good stuff, liker REAL pastrami, roast beef, and corn beef!

The most important thing in life is not knowing everything, it's having the phone number of somebody who does!

Sorry, didn't notice, but they had a lot of wines, and still have a lot of empty shelves to fill.

I suspect in a week or so, the stock will up much higher.

The Playa del Carmen location is very popular with expats. They have some products that are very hard to find in the US, such as Kusmi teas from France. Should be a nice place to hunt for stuff.

If they have just a fraction of what they have listed at the online site, it will be very exciting. They have a wide range of wines from all over the world, including Australia and South Africa. This will be a great addition to what we have at Mega, Chedraui, and other places.
