Welcome to the board.

Lots of places to rent jeeps.

Fiesta Car Rentals has pristine jeeps and vehicles http://www.fiestacarrental.com/

Less Pay, and ISIS has the your standard beaters

Hertz, Avis, Blueway-nicer vehicles

One thing to keep in mind, the 4 wheel drive is disabled, so no off road driving. Also, no trunk for security.

Any vehicle you rent, take Zero deductible.  Your credit card insurance will not cover you here, they only reimburse after you pay out of pocket.

It's slow season, so lots of available rentals.

The bugs are fun to drive, and they do have a trunk.

I would definitely make sure the top (on any vehicle you rent) works, and the windows go up, or zip shut.

It's September, and it does rain.

The tourist are hooked on ISIS.  She IS a nice lady, and price is about $35 bucks

I have always rented from Less Pay.  Same type of cars as ISIS.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for coming to see us! Cozumel is very different from PR -- flat, no rivers, very small -- and communicating with locals will be a fun experience for you. Hope you have a great time and the sun will shine for you!

you wil not find a more honest person in Cozumel than Margarita the owner of Isis car rental, she is very well respected by the whole community and will always treat you with the respect you deserve.

All of the agencies are locally owned.  Even Hertz and Avis.

Isis and Less Pay are privately owned.  The tourist are fixated on ISIS.

All anybody wants is a vehicle at a great price.

$35 bucks is your target range for a bug.
