Went to the Banamex, the ATM machine wouldn't read our card. We asked the teller why this happened and we were told that we needed to have a world emblem on the card. Anyone else have this happen?

Thanks again for your info.

Did you alert your bank that you would be traveling?  Which might be the problem.

Never heard of the excuse you were given.

Try another bank.  NEVER, EVER use the ATM's on the streets.  Always go to a bank.

The most important thing in life is not knowing everything, it's having the phone number of somebody who does!

Went to another bank and had no problem. We did alert our bank that we would be traveling to Mexico, when we talked to our bank today they had not heard of a card with a chip in it either.  Thanks

Used a PS Credit Union card from Colorado just afternoon today at Banamex 30 Av. Card had Cirrus, Star, and Co-op logos on the back, no chip...., no problems! Cards with chips are being required for Banamex clients, this only started here around a year ago. our card could have some kind ofdamage to the mag strip.

Are you suggesting to not use the machines at Mega and Ched? Do you consider those to be 'on the street'?   Why are you warning about not using certain machines?
