I'm sure the building is still there, was last year anyway. Has it closed? Changed names? Expedia, Travelocity etc don't recognize it. I know it went AI but am considering staying there again as its always been one of our favorite locations.

I went by it on Monday.....I'd be really suprised if if opened by March 30, 2014. It still looks bombed out.

It's totally trashed, no longer orange, and there's a big pile of rubble on every balcony. I don't think it'll be ready in March either....

I remember going by it several times on the dive boat in early December. The main hotel building had been taken down to shell condition, and there was a big excavator type machine digging out a big hole where the pool/patio used to be out by the beach. I have my doubts about them finishing by March - or even June.

I'd love a picture of it now. We were just reminising the days of pulling into Dzul Ha for that first Sol and just staring in amazement at that blue water. F/A was a nice place back then. Man I miss Dzul Ha! Before Wilma we would walk from F/A to Dzul Ha and snorkle back. There was tons of stuff to see then. After Wilma it seemed like a desert underwater. If anyone could get a pic I'd really appreciate it.

I have no current information but when I was down in July they were having garage sales and getting rid of just about everything. They were doing a complete remodel. Sliding doors on the balcony were all gone and it was open to the weather.  I would think you would have at least another 6 or 7 months before they open again. Not sure if it will even be opening under the same name. I would plan on someplace else.

We were down in Oct and the place looked like a shell with everything stripped to the bare bones just as djdiver said, would think it highly unlikely to be open and read for business come March.

We just got back about 2 weeks ago and the place is still a s$#t hole(xcuse my french) I stopped and spoke to a chap I believed to be someone of authority Gf type guy and he told me it would not be ready till the end of OCT due to long delays in getting materials form the mainland.

here are some pics

1/ the entrance is still being framed 2/ the rooms to the left are just getting there patio doors installed 3/ the building across the road is still at the framework stage also.
