We love fishing off of Cozumel!  And that's why we're going fishing May 16th.  I'd rather fish before they all go out than after.  I've tried it both ways and fishing isn't very good for about (4) days after the tourney.  We catch/release & they still have a shot at catching the ones we get.  I have a real problem w/the "weigh-in": the bill fish are dead .  I know it brings a lot of money to the island and I'm not judging anyone.  Just my opinion on the subject.  It IS a lot of money, though.  Good luck to them all!

We are in! We have joined the  Los Pescadores Gringos Locos Team and we are going out on the KayKib for the Rodeo.

I think the Marlin will be all catch and release this year.

Will love watching the boats head out and then back in from the balcony of Las Brisas :)

Should be a good sunday in the square on the 18th huh?

Hey, my wife w/wienie muscles pulled in a 7 1/2' black marlin (6) days after the tourney last year (I've got to give her credit, she'd accept no help).  I'm hoping you hook one!  I've hooked many, landed NONE in the boat yet over the years.  Many sailfish, but not a marlin.  They are very good at shaking that hook! I still love it though as it's the fight is the fun part.  Good luck and take the Sol girls out in your new Mercedes after you win.
