I am making this today, and it is really one of my favorite all time meals.

This dish can be made in batches, and frozen.  It is a serving for 18 rolls.

Chicken Ala Crescents

1/2 cup Pepperidge farm dressing (use seasoned bread cubes if no brand name is available)
1/4 cup  walnuts or pecans
Crust the Pepperidge farm dressing and nuts together and set aside

In small mixing bowl combine
3oz pkg of Philly cream cheese
1-2 tablespoons of diced chives
1/2 cup (drained) mushrooms, diced fine
1 cup (or more) cooked shredded chicken breast.
3 tablespoons butter

Crescent rolls

Using a mixer, blend Independence together (should be consistency of tuna salad)

Separate Crescent dough, and roll out.

Add chicken mixture to roll (at least a tablespoon) and roll into crescent shape.

Brush each TOP of the finished crescent roll with melted butter, and press into the Pepperidge farm and walnut mix.

Bake at 375 for 15 to 20 mins, or until crescent rolls are browned.
Serve with chicken gravy, egg noodle or mashed potatoes.

You can freeze the finished rolls, just do not bake ahead of time.

The most important thing in life is not knowing everything, it's having the phone number of somebody who does!
