If you have reservations at the Allegro  within the next week or so, please check your reservations.

10  palapas caught fire last night, with severe damage to the lobby, and damage to 5 buildings and villas.

The hotel guest were evacuated.

It was property damage only, no one was injured.

The most important thing in life is not knowing everything, it's having the phone number of somebody who does!

We happen to own a timeshare at the Allegro (which now that we bought a condo at El Cantu I need to get rid of).  Today we received notification from Occidental that any reservations at the Allegro will be moved to the Grand until the Allegro is repaired.  So actually people are going to get a free upgrade.
