If you liked La Veranda location, and Chris and Sharon who ran Andale on the East side, they have now reopened the La Veranda location, and called it THE PUB.

The reviews I have been reading are very positive, and they have draft beer on tap.

Location:  Calle 4 between 5th and 10th

Hours: Monday-Sunday  11am till 11pm

Good luck to them!

La Veranda was always one of our stops.  Glad to see it is open again.

I heard Chris and Sharron shut down Andlea's. I am glad to hear they have a new place open. It will be one of my first stops on the island in February.

I was wondering.  We were down in Feb and stopped at Andales and had great food and reasonable prices.  Had friends go with us when we went back down in July and a whole different story.  Beer was prices so high we never bothered to get anything to eat.  Just moved on.  Loved that place when Sandra had it.

went here yesterday at lunch time, the place looks tremendous with a backyard full of turtles (10 I think) and seating to the back and front patios, beer is on tap if you so wish and at 2 bucks a 12oz glass , you had the choice of either of dois xx amber or sol, the food we had steak and ale pie and breaded fish and chips both were excellent, pie pastry was nice and flaky the beef tender and flavoursome, fish hot and crispy with flakes of fish melting in your mouth, around 10bucks a time each we will be back for sure. will post pics later when  I get the chance. the hosts chris and sharron were as gracious as ever

Good point DJDD!  And a nice guiness.  Sounds like it might make the list.

Malt vinegar is available most of the time at Pacsadelli's. A Canadian brand priced somewhere between $60 and $70 pesos per bottle. Found in the small room to the right as you walk in.

The Pub has really good food. When I want a burger it (along with La Casa del Mojito) is my go-to place. The steak and mushroom pie is excellent as well.

Vern...I really don't know the prices there, I never asked. I don't even get to the front door and they have a beer on the bar ready for me. There prices have always been good. Probably $2 or $28 pesos a beer. There food is excellent and each plate you order is enough for 2 people.
