Rasta started to rebuild after Emily.  Then Wilma came along.  They do know how to build strong bathrooms.  It survived both storms

The other picture is my house.  We had a lovely little faux beach with a palapa,   Needless to say, it ended up in the pool.  You can see the shredding of the leafs on the jungle from Emily, then Wilma finished the job.

Hurricanes-boo, hiss.

The most important thing in life is not knowing everything, it's having the phone number of somebody who does!

Wow. You can actually see through the trees at your house. We were there shortly afer Wilma and were able to drive as far as the Rasta Bar. It was devastating to say the least.

That is our driveway, looking towards the house.

That is me, trying to comprehend what the clean up would be

The last pic is me taking a peek out the door when we had a short breather.

The GREAT news, Cozumel knows how to deal with this.  Nobody is waiting for FEMA to show up.

Our first trip to Cozumel was in the December right after Wilma. And we fell head over heels in love with the island despite all the damage.

Great pics, P!

I once thought about having a black bottom pool.  It would certainly be warmer in the winter months, but after the hurricane, and my pool was BLACK from debrief, I decided it would look like a swamp (which it was) and not something I would want to jump into.
