Once you get off the plane, through customs and settled in, where is that one first stop for food or drink that says you're back on the island? Because we had car issues last year, we started our first stay on Cozumel at the Money Bar. It was recommended by our cab driver.

I grab a Sol from the fridge and go out to the pool, then I know I'm there.

Probably depends on where you are staying.  We usually are dragging from catching a 6 am flight after driving 2 or 3 hours to the airport so we stick pretty close to the hotel for the first day.  Let us know where you are staying.

We usually arrive around 10:30am.  We then pick up our car from Margarita and drop our bags off at the Melia and head back to the Museo for a late breakfast/lunch.  Then it's off to check in with Chad and Clara, wonder around a little bit and head back up north to get checked in.  This year, I'm making our reservation at Buccanno's right now!

Just hitting the fridge sounds good. We're down at Residencias Reef condos again this year and we may elect to run to the Mega for suppies and head back to sit on the deck.

Each of us have a routine and favorite rituals. We dive, so for us it is gathering the dive gear and heading to our dive shop and restaurant Papahogs. Order a Sol, pico, and guacamole. It sits just across Melgar. We can watch the world go by on land and sea and plan our first day of diving all while we watch the sunset. Only six more days and I will once again repeat the ritual. Life is good!

Once we clear customs our first stop is always Margaritaville right outside the door. Just taking a few moments to braethe, relax and shake off the rest of the world! In years past it was always DzulHa which spelled paradise to us!

Usually our first stop after going to condo was always Coconuts. I think this year though, we will hit La Candela first for lunch and then down to Wet Wendy's and then later Casa Denis for dinner as our usual first night dinner.

A margarita from the airport bar.  We get the rental and head to the condo and dump the luggage and then run to Sedana for mixers and snacks and breakfast stuff. Then park the renatal until the next day because we have cocktails while we unpack and then margs at dinner.  We walk up to Buccano's for dinner.

Once I was settled in which meant dropping my suitcase inside the front door I went next door and had a cold beer. Tony told me Gordon was up at the Pub watching some kind of Super Bowl. He drove me up there and I was looking for this giant fish tank but couldn't find it so had a dozen beers instead.

We're dining at Buccanos on Saturday, our second day on the island. If I see a smiling Texan, I'll wave!!!

Nothing special.  Just somewhere for a margarita.  Usually Margaritaville at the airport, even tho they are pretty spendy.  then a liquor store & grocery store to load the fridge and cupboards.

The last several times I've been to Cozumel, I was staying at Casa del Mar, so as soon as I've gotten the basic unpacking done and changed out of my Dallas to Coz clothes - into Shorts and a bright Hawaiian shirt - I walk across the road to Ernesto's for a few cervesas, maybe some fajitas, and time to gaze at the water, the boats going back and forth, the Cruise Ships in port, and just enjoy being back in paradise.
