Seems like every week a new place pops up.

Mimuna is the latest with Mediterranean food.  https://www.facebook...632947863502648

Puro Relajo open a new sandwich shop next door to AKI on 30th as well.

It's hard to stay current on all the new stuff.

The most important thing in life is not knowing everything, it's having the phone number of somebody who does!

Am I imagining that there has been a near-explosion of new places that seem to be fairly well-thought-out efforts that try to offer something new, different, or better? I know places are always opening (and then typically closing), but in the past few years my sense has been that some places have opened that have decent long-term prospects. My not-so-secret hope is that this reflects a change in the island economy that turns away from just offering excursions and tequila to cruisers (with which there's nothing wrong) and towards offering things that those who live and work on the island need or want.

Believe me, I have absolutely nothing against another taco or antojitos place or even another fancy restaurant aimed at tourists, but I'm pleased to see that somebody thinks there's a more diverse market than that.

I'm enjoying diversity for the palate.

Just wait until the tourist start screaming that the island has turned sophisticated, and of course above their budget.

Those who eat tacos, no loss there with places to get them.

Coz has been changing, and I am glad the culinary diversity is catch up.

Love that type of food.  We made a list of all the places we want to try plus the old favorites we can't miss and already filled up 12 days and nights of "must do" places.

Even with the best of intentions, and our usual stay of 2 weeks at a time, we're still unable to make it to all our faves and new places. We usually split a dinner, and have enough left over to take back to the hotel for lunch or a snack.

We tried Mimuna yesterday, after seeing the menu on this board ( thank you Coz2wonder).

We really like this type of food.

I was very good. My husband had the  falafel pita.   I had the kabab with beef. We also ordered  humus.

Everything was freshly made and excellent.  .

It is located on  30 ave. where the Beirut take out used to be , next to Pollo estilo Sinaloa.

They also offer home delivery. On Thursdays, right now, they have couscous with chicken.

We will go back for sure.
