Does anyone know the schedule/fees of the car ferry to the Mainland? We are debating whether to take our car over or rent a car after we get there. Thank you!

The ferry is $380 pesos for the car and driver. Extra passengers pay $60 pesos each. If you drive a truck it costs more.

I wouldn't bet the bank on those hours being correct. If it were I, I'd run on down to the ferry office the day before I'm planning to cross over and verify that they're still doing all the runs and at the times that are on the website.

We just took our small van over with three adults and one child for a total of 300 pesos each way -- no extra charges for the passengers. This is their summer special.

We always go to the ferry pier a couple of days ahead of departure to verify times.

We took the car ferry on Tuesday making a run north of Cancun. Each way with one passenger was $300 pesos. It's usually been $380 pesos for a car and $920 for a pickup loaded or unloaded. Ferry from Cozumel was 6 a.m. 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

You need to be at the ferry at least an hour ahead of time to ensure a spot. On Tuesday morning we were there just before 5 a.m. and by 5:30 the lot was full and they closed the gate.
