I will be in Cozumel for 10 days starting July 24th for some long overdue scuba diving
Pevious posts discussed swimming with Whale Sharks at Isla de Mujeres.
I have always wanted to do it
Is it possible to do this in one day?
Any help and recommendations would be greatly appreciated

I just read an article in a non-diving magazine that was talking about the whale sharks. According to this article the whale sharks are not showing up near Holbox anywhere near like they used to and the majority are hanging around Isla Mujeres. Apparently the whale tour ops in Holbox are taking their clients to the waters that surround IM and there is some arguement with the IM ops, because the IM ops don't think it is right for the Holbox ops to use their waters.

There's an interesting article in Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine all about the whale sharks. The fact that they have been sighted of the coast of Mississippi and about the where and when of them in Mexico and migrating habits and some have been tagged. Google the magazine and put "whale sharks" in the search box. You'll learn alot...I did.

Friends flew over today to swim with the Whale Sharks in Isla Mujeres.

Adrian (who does it all) arranged, and went along with them.

I am sure Dawn B will have a complete report, plus pic's.

If your on FB, Adrian has been posting updates, with some pic's of the trip today.

The most important thing in life is not knowing everything, it's having the phone number of somebody who does!
