At the Mercado Municipal a couple years ago, a vendor just inside the south entrance had pineapples the size of coconuts. They tasted like a cross between pineapple and coconut - or a pina colada. I thought they called them coco-apples. Or is there a different name for them? And are they really only grown on Cozumel?

Thanks for any info.
