It appears we are on the outter bands, but with both Karl and Invest 92 we could have some heavy rains.

thanks for the clarification...one TS.

Weather Underground has not updated their site when I looked at it. I shouldn't have used the term "Right Now"...

Just took down the outdoor umbrella, and covered some things that I didn't want to get wet.

Later down in that same Advisory #1 it says this (which is very encouraging):

AT THIS TIME...KARL IS A SMALL TROPICAL STORM. TROPICAL-STORM-FORCE
WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 10 MILES...20 KM FROM THE CENTER.

If it hits land a good bit south of us and doesn't grow much in size, I hope that we won't have any dangerous wind. However, it does like it will be sending us rain.

I'm still doing my shopping today!

regular nortes give us more wind and choppy seas than most tropical storms. especially ones so far away. the gas stations were full with lines. i went just because my tank happened to be empty and i lucked out with no waiting being in the deisel line at the right time!

tropical winds extend 25 miles. it shopuld hit about 2 hours south of us. very small, no worries. we will likely get some bands of wind and rain. i for one am looking forward to running in the rain tomorrow with a nice breeze.

Well that was no big deal. Lot of rain, a couple of palm fronds downed. Probably a little squally for the rest of the the day.

I am glad it was a non-event...this time.

I always keep a full tank of gas in our vehicles. It's my understand that with a full tank you get better gas mileage, and you also do not have to deal with the panic fill!

After going through a number of Nortes, and hurricanes, I am not complacent about what can happen, and am prepared.

I am also checking ALL available resources for weather information.

Perhaps, Traveler and CZMDM can post all the weather sites they use.
